Workshop Highlights:

  • Introduction to Wheel-Throwing: Delve into the world of wheel-throwing pottery, from the history of this ancient craft to mastering the techniques of centering, pulling, and shaping clay on the wheel.
  • Hands-On Wheel Time: Get hands-on with the pottery wheel as you learn to create basic forms, such as cylinders, bowls, and cups. Nicki will guide you through each step, helping you unleash your inner potter.
  • Personalized Guidance: Receive one-on-one guidance from Nicki, ensuring that you leave the workshop with a better understanding of the wheel-throwing process and a newfound confidence in your abilities.
  • Materials and Equipment: Your workshop fee includes all materials and equipment needed, including clay, tools, and access to pottery wheels.
  • Firing and Glazing: Select one piece to fire and a color and we will finish your art piece.
  • Pickup: Return in 1 weeks to pick up your pottery masterpieces, ready to be used or displayed as unique works of art.

Who Can Attend:

  • No age requirement but 13 and older is preferred.(We use torches and sharp objects in class). This workshop is open to individuals of all skill levels, whether you're a complete beginner or have some prior experience with pottery. All you need is a passion for creativity and a willingness to get your hands dirty!

What to Bring:

  • Comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting clay on.
  • An apron or smock to protect your attire.
  • A sense of curiosity and a desire to create!
